Every morning this curated collection of inspiring, "sage," advice arrives as a simple, light-weight, notification. If the message resonates with you, a quick swipe and you can share it or save it. No more email filling your inbox or images clogging your social feeds.
All advice is hand selected by our small network of professional entrepreneurs, mental health counselors, life coaches and comedians. Daily Sage™ not only aims to improve your life with thoughtful inspiration, it also leverages the power of social good to crowd-source and promote worthy organizations.
How often is new advice sent?
Daily Sage™ changes (and notifies) once, daily. Messages will typically arrive in the morning.
I really appreciate today's message. How do I "like it"?
Daily Sage™ isn't a social network where you can "favorite" or "like" the curated messages. Instead, if a message resonates with you, we encourage you save it to your personal collection or share it on social media.
If I turn off notifications, can I still see the collection?
Of course! The app is updated every morning. If you don't want to receive the inspiration automatically, simply load the app daily or when you're seeking a little wisdom.
Is Daily Sage compatible with iOS 14 and the newest iPhones/iPads?
Yes! Daily Sage (v1.6.2) is fully compatible with iOS 10+ and is fully optimized for iPhone SE, 6 - 8+, the iPhone X series, the iPhone 11 series and the iPhone 12 series. It is also compatible on any iPad running iOS 10+.
Why am I not getting my daily notifications?
On November 1, 2018 we switched the back-end server responsible for sending out our daily notifications. This change (along with iPhone X / iPad compatibility and a number of bug fixes) requires you to run v1.5 or later. To check which version you are running, open Daily Sage and tap the "hamburger" menu in the upper left corner (it looks like three horizontal lines) to open the Settings Panel. The version you are running can be found in the upper right of the Settings Panel. If you are running v1.5+ and still having trouble, let us know.
What's new in version 1.6?
v1.6.2 kills a few bugs and introduces Dark Mode. Learn more here.
How do I activate Dark Mode?
Dark Mode is a new feature introduced in v1.6.
It is invoked automatically through the iOS system settings (Settings App > Display & Brightness). If you trigger iOS into Dark Mode, Daily Sage will mirror those settings.
If you have iOS change from Dark to Light Mode, automatically, Daily Sage will toggle (as well), in tandem. Dark Mode cannot be instigated independently of the system.
I have a quote that I find inspirational. Can I submit it for consideration?
Yes! Our team is always looking for more, meaningful advice to share with our friends. To submit something for us to consider: Daily Sage™ > Settings > Submit Your Favorite Quotes.
I've downloaded the app and subscribed, but I'm not getting my daily notification.
First things, first: ensure that you allowed Daily Sage™ to send you notifications (you were asked during setup).
To check, follow the steps listed in the question below. If you've confirmed that notifications are allowed and you still aren't getting notified please note that our messages are sent around between 8a - 11a (in your local time zone). Notifications are prepared and distributed at random. If you have downloaded the app within that range, it's possible you won't receive your first notification for 24hrs. If 24hrs has pasted and you have confirmed notifications are allowed, but are still not receiving notifications, please let us know here.
I accidentally turned off notifications, how do can I turn them back on?
Without push notifications turned on you'll miss the daily delivery of our "sage" advice and other relevant notifications/updates.
To turn notifications ON, exit the app (so you are on your home screen) and navigate to Settings > Notifications > Daily Sage. We recommend that you have the following settings:
How do i turn off auto-renew or cancel my subscription?
Subscription payment will be charged to your iTunes account at the confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24-hours before the end of your current subscription period. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period. You can manage your subscription settings within the Account Settings, on your device, after your purchase.
